Family fun at Camas Days

A busy weekend at Camas Days, I had a really successful jewelry show and a ton of fun with my girlfriends and jewelry. kd designs continues to be blessed and it is so fun for me to see how God is using this fun little business. See my cute banner that my friend Shannon designed. It makes me look so professional!

The kids came down with daddy to watch the parade and play on the kids street. Here is little brave Kadie tackling the rock wall. She never seems to surprise us on how she will try anything.

Jack taking his turn at the rock wall, not quite as adventurous, more like mom perhaps.

My dear friend Melody holding Issie at the parade. Mel came and helped me almost the entire weekend, it was super fun. Thanks family, and friends for supporting my crazy little business adventures. I love you all.

Camas Days

Hey friends and family, if you are in the neighborhood come see me at Camas Days. I have a booth for kd designs and it should be a fun time. I am excited to see how people from all walks of life respond to my jewelry. No expectations, just interesting to see who likes what and who doesn't like anything. Anyway, Camas Days has a little something for everyone. I will be there Friday and Saturday 9am to 9pm. Stop by if you can.

Fairy Princess Ballet Camp

Well this is my first attempt to publish a video. Kadie spent last week with a friend at Fairy Princess Ballet Camp. It was so cute and such a fun week for her. The did crafts, played games, learned some ballet and got to dress every day as a princess. On Friday there was a little tea party for the moms and a little performance by the princesses. She is just too sweet here. Enjoy Grandma.

A long day at Long Beach!

We spent the day at the beach on Monday and it was a long but fun day. 6 kids ranging in age from 8 months to 16 years and one little dog and a crazy mom. It was a windy but beautiful day however, with 4 kids wanting to run in the ways, one dog wanting to chase kites and birds, one little girls crying because she got sand in her eye (5 mins after we arrived) and a baby in the back pack pulling my hair out, my perspective of a relaxing day on the beach was a bit altered. After about an hour of playing with sand in her eye, Kadie decided she wanted to play in the van and never go the beach again. Lucy was drenched and Issie was whining. Thank goodness for Melanie (Brad's 16 year old cousin who is staying with us for the summer), since she stayed with the kids and played on the beach for another 2 hours while I kept everyone else happy at the van. Then we got ice cream, I got to go to the awesome bead shop there and we headed home. Starving by the time we got to Vancouver we stopped for Panda, unfortunately I left something on in the car and the battery died. So after 10 hours of beach and driving we were salty, sanding, sleepy, stinky, snippy and stuck. Then after some mix up and an hour more of waiting we finally got someone to come jump the car (thanks Nello, but you still owe me a margarita!). The kids were all passed out when we got home and most of them went to bed yucky. Oh well, we survived and it was mostly fun, at least that is what the kids remember.

Jack, always having fun.

Crazy Cousins

We were blessed to have our nieces (Sydney and Lynsey) come and stay with us for 10 days this summer. They are 2 beautiful red head girls with tons of spunk and personality. Syndey will be 11 in Sept and is super thoughtful, creative and the little explorer and bug/reptile/animal rescuer. Lynsey is 8 and is spunky, giggly and a little wild at times. The cousins just loved having some summer time together, they explored the trails with walkie talkies, they played games, made up songs, chased the ball, watched movies, swam, hiked, and made up elaborate bedtime stories. But most of all, they loved and they laughed. It was great fun.

Passed out after the fireworks.

Blackmail picture! Jack with the pink fairy wings, pink sunglasses, and pink bunny ears. I have no idea what game this was but the kids were laughing hysterically.

The girls eating Popsicles on the deck. Yum Yum.

A quick visit with Grandpa Zack and Grandma Dauna at their new home in Boardman, OR.

Silly Lynsey, her "victory dance" when she got the ball in monkey in the middle, she says she may be little but she uses her smarts and her speed. So cute.
Love you girls, hope you come back next summer.

4th of July

We had a fun fourth down at Fort Vancouver with some dear friends who were celebrating right down the road from the big event. It was great to have a relaxed place to let the kids play and to lay on blankets and see the awesome fireworks.

Road Trip to Albuquerque

Well Brad had his 20 year high school reunion and we decided to head down to NM for the great American road trip! So we pack ourselves, our 4 year old and our 8 month old into the minivan (Jack had a trip to Michigan with his dad planned) and drove for 2 days, stayed in Albuquerque for 2 days and drove back for 2 days. What were we thinking?! Well it was fun, none the less. To add to the adventure, while in NM we picked up our 2 nieces and Brad's cousin and brought them home with us!

We had a great time visiting with Grandma Tutu and Granddad, and Laura and Chris (Brad's sister and brother in law). The reunion was fun too. A bit exhausting for me, as I knew only 2 people and had only talked to them at our wedding and one other time. But for Brad it was fun to see where people were at and what God was doing in their lives.

We were so happy to be home and fall into bed, and put Issie in her crib. There is no place like home. Here are some shots from the trip, this blog is really helping me to better document these times. Me and my man, headed out without the kids! Brad and his best friend Dave, so good to reconnect! Brad and Laura ( his sister, my best friend, the way we met) Having fun, 2 days of 12 hours in the car, thank goodness for portable DVD players!

Issie and dad, stretching their legs at a rest area. She was a great little traveler.

Fun at the show

Sorry about the late update, but the jewelry show was a ton of fun. I had some of my dearest friends there to lend a hand and it was a wonderful time to do what I love. Before I went I talked with God about what would I should expect, not knowing at all what to expect. He gave me a number and what do you know, I made exactly that number, to the penny! Wow, God amazes me. So I am continuing on this journey and I will see where it takes me. Thank you all for your support. I have some more events coming up and a new blog in the works, I will keep you all posted.
